Boxes of Love – Local Outreach

Boxes O’ Love”

Locally!

Church In The Woods

With the same spirit of “Operation Christmas Child” which is facilitated by the Samaritan’s Purse and serves children in surrounding countries; “Why not take the idea of this OUT reach, and reach out to folks in need closer to home?”

Several of us here at Kipling UMC have been involved in assisting “The Church in the Woods” ministry and other ministries that are serving the homeless and under privileged in our local areas.

Every time I’ve had the opportunity to take part in this Church in the Woods ministry I have had the pleasure of enjoying the MANY children that are a part of these needy families.

I sincerely believe that God is calling us to share His love with these children this Christmas season and helping them to understand WHO Christmas truly is all about.

In the same fashion as “Operation Christmas Child” we will assemble our “Boxes O’ Love” and they will be distributed to the children from the same buses that distribute the much needed clothing and bedding items. I will have a small team assembled to collect all the boxes and get them to the distribution buses. Keep in mind that Kipling UMC is NOT the only church involved in this out reach. Our team will be teaming up with the other teams from local churches that have also been participating in Church in the Woods! UNITED!

Here is the list I’m going to be working with:
